Your role
We are looking for a dedicated Support Engineer (m/f/d) to help us provide exceptional support and service to our customers. This role involves managing incidents, handling support tickets, delivering regular reports, and participating in the 24/7-hour on-duty rotation alongside other PowerDNS engineers. You will have end-to-end responsibility for support tickets, from the time the issue is created to the full resolution.
In addition to core support responsibilities, we need you to also to think beyond core support tasks and contribute to other technical areas during available time. These contributions may include project delivery, project management, or presales activities, depending on the individual's skills and expertise, as well as the workload of colleagues.
As you will be supporting our European customers, we are looking for somebody located in France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, or Spain.
Your profile
- Knowledge and experience with DNS technologies; familiarity with PowerDNS software is a bonus.
- Knowledge and experience with networking protocols, including TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, HTTPS, BGP, and Anycast.
- Proficiency in Linux systems and networking, with hands-on experience.
- Practical experience with Ansible.
- Knowledge and experience with containers, Kubernetes, and other virtualization and orchestration technologies.
- Prior experience in technical support or project delivery within the telecom and ISP industry is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage customer escalations according to agreed SLAs.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
